competitiveness
Description of the project
The RESPONSE project is a TEKES funded research project “RESPONSE / Operations location decisions” conducted in parallel with the International Business faculty of the Helsinki School of Economics. The whole project studies, in cooperation with Iittala, Helkama Velox, Honkarakenne, Kone, Nokia, Perlos, and Wärtsilä, how the globalization phenomena has affected the competitiveness of Finland based technology and knowledge intensive firms, and how these firms have responded to perceived environmental opportunities and threats that can be linked to the globalization phenomenon. The HSE team emphasizes strategic management aspects while the HUT/BIT team studies operation location decisions of firms.
