The overall aim of SIMBe is to significantly accelerate the introduction of sustainable electric mobility in Finland, with a focus on built environments. Helsinki, by involving departments of city planning and city transport, will benefit as the initial pilot city.
SIMBe is committed to prepare the industrial partners to engage in new, partially disruptive business opportunities built on electric energy sales and purchase, increased sales of components and the provision of vehicles and mobility services, as well as infrastructure.
SIMBe starts with a broad stakeholder value analysis, involving industry, public authorities and end users. In the concept modelling and simulation phase market-, traffic- and technology assessments as well as new and existing services will be integrated into concepts for strategic business models and earning logics. Further outputs include an infrastructure blueprint as well as guidelines for market transition, uncertainty management and entry into market.
