Research Director

Pekka Malinen is conducting the research group of Value Networks. He has more than 20 years experience on many operational functions of industrial organizations both on domestic and international fronts. He has been working in different positions in many organizations, including international sales and marketing, product development, R&D coordination and business development. He has strong experience on project management and industry-academia collaboration. He has coordinated and conducted collaboration between industry and academia in large national research efforts (e.g. programme director of national technology programme) and in international arena (EUREKA FMS MAINT project). Pekka Malinen gained M.Sc. and Lic.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology in 1975 and 1977. Currently his research interests are focusing on value creation, management of value networks and innovation management both in organizational and regional contexts.

As a secondary occupation he is acting as managing partner in a company of R2B Link Oy.
